Who I AM
Hi, my name is Karen. I am a nurse, a photographer, and an artist. In 2024, I departed from my career in nursing to re-invent myself, to find aspects of myself that were lost along the path we call life. As a nurse, you understand and know the significance of those fleeting moments in time. Though I loved nursing, it was no longer fulfilling. I needed to take a break, to fill my soul once again with happiness, instead of sadness, to find beauty in the simplest of things, and through art, I found peace. Maple Hill by Karen was crafted from a passion, a need to be creative, and from a long-held wish. Whether created or observed, art provides a powerful non-verbal outlet for processing feelings and experiences, leading to personal growth and a richer connection to oneself and others.
